Annapurna Panorama via PoonHill
In the Annapurna Panorama Trek all along you will be walking beside the panorama of the Annapurna Himalaya range, hence the name. Also referred to as the Ghorepani Poon Hill trail, this trek is short, manageable and easily accessible from Pokhara. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m) and Manaslu (8157m). A particular high point of this trek while in Ghorepani is waking up early to watch the sunrise from Poon Hill (3200m), which is definitely a treasured experience.
The locals in the are proud of the dense rhododendron forest along the trek which they claim is the largest flower forest in Nepal. The people in this region belong to the Gurung and Magar ethnic backgrounds, who live in idyllic traditional communities and have a friendly reputation and long established custom of catering toward trekkers.
